Franchisee Testimonial

Well organised and hardworking, Raj and Dushy Rageevan took on their Card Line franchise to add another string to their financial 'bow'.
Sri Lankan by birth, they already own a convenience store so it's been tougher than usual to do both jobs but with good organization, it's working, better than you might think.
With additional staff now working in the store, the couple now spend every day visiting customers or targetting those potential new ones. Their territory in Kent is quite sizable and to make sure they get around everyone, they go their separate ways taking a different route each. Says Raj, "We could go visiting customers together but practically it would be difficult to service the number of accounts we have. After spending so much time in the shop, it's a great sense of freedom being able to jump in the car and take off in any direction I want. Obviously we plan carefully who's going where as we have over 150 accounts to service with lots and lots of potential in the business for further growth.
"We even have tentative plans to develop the Dover end of our patch which has plenty of opportunities for new accounts waiting for us."
From the start, the Rageevans have used their customer service skills and knowledge on the retail side to secure accounts and open new ones. The decision to buy into the card business was easy as they could see first hand that the demand was there throughout the year. The unit price of cards is not beyond most people's pockets and giving and receiving cards is part of life.
Choosing Card Line came about as they were customers of the outgoing franchisees who had built a very successful business but decided they wanted to start a new life in Canada. A number of conversations later and the Rageevans knew that buying a Cardline franchise would be a very good thing.
"We could see for ourselves how successful they were and how much they enjoyed it. It was an opportunity not to be missed."
